Treasure Hunt – on a Search for Fossils
A nice hike for big and small, including a visit to the fossil exhibition room "Steinreich" ! You will hike along different fossil sites up to the Schneckenwand (german for "Snail Wall"). A real adventure for treasure hunters. Ideal for children of 6 years old and up.
The tour can be booked individually. The costs vary depending on the size of the group.

Guided Hike with Alpacas
An easy walk starting in Abtenau. The guide will tell you everything about the keeping of alpacas, their conditions of living and their special traits. For this hike you need good shoes for hiking and suitable clothes (no rustling clothes).

On the trail of the Empress Sisi
Guided Sisi Hike
A guided hike on Empress Sisi's tracks will be held every Wednesday from middle of July. Meeting point for the tour is at 9.30 am at the valley station of the Donnerkogelbahn in Annaberg / Astauwinkel. After the common driveway, you will cross the Riedlkar, from where you will enjoy a magnificent view over the mountains that Sisi already appreciated. From the mighty Dachstein over to the Niedere and Hohe Tauern - on fine days you can even see Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner - and up to the mystical Untersberg at the gates of the state capital Salzburg. A breathtaking view, but a leisurely walk!
Now on to Zwieselalmhütte hut, where the Empress once spent the night. Is it this window, behind which was the imperial chamber?
