Russbach is an Austrian hiking village
Our hikes to the fossilised snail wall an the Jungbrunnenweg have been approved as “convenient trails with a high density of adventures on offer”. Russbach is situated exactly at the intersection point of high Alpine Dachstein and the Salzburger Voralpen region, whose summits are very well accessible to hikers. You can also choose from Alpine hiking trails and via ferrata routes in the south, right up into Dachstein´s eternal ice, and the more gentle, yet no less beautiful, routes in the north – the Postalm for instace, Austria´s biggest Alpine area.

Gamsfeld, the local mountain of Rußbach, magnificent views - walking time: ca. 3,5 hours
Rinnbergalm, our cosy, wooden hutted, meadow village - walking time: ca. 2 hours
Neualm, a romantic walk along the river leads you to the Neualm - walking time: 2 hours
Bodenberg, beautiful hiking tour on the impressive mountain - walking time 2 hours
Mountain pasture walking: varied circular walk from the Traunwandalm to the Rinnbergalm - walking time: 4-5 hours
